Rondane Teknologi AS is an innovative consulting company within LNG and ammonia technolgy for the marine industry.

Its employee, Mr Jørn M. Jonas, has more than 30 years experience from the marine field, mostly within liquefied gas carriers and liquid gas fuel systems.

The present activity includes engineering, development and design of fuel and FSRU boil off (BOG) handling technology, LNG and ammonia fuel systems, commissioning/gassing-up, start-up of LNG fuel systems.

An ejector based BOG compressor solution for high pressure 2-stroke engine installations is introduced to the marked in 2025.

It is a solution using the high pressure fuel pump recirculation flow as drive for an ejector based BOG compressor. The technology is backed by both national and international patent granting,

The BOG compressor is either used for supplying BOG to the generator engines. Or, in case of shaft generator operation, the BOG compressor is used in a cold recovery liquefaction process.

Different from present solutions is the complete independent flow regulation of the ejector drive flow. And the alternative method for pressure regulation of the ejector outlet flow.

Used on high pressure 2-stroke LNG or NH3 engine installations the system will give a unique simple and reliable BOG handling with all components located in the tank connection space (TCS).

Additionally, the solution can be operated in a N2 separation mode where the condensate is subcooled and the N2 is separated from the fuel condensate. This is a particularly important feature for ammonia fuelled ships.

Used on LNG FSRU in combination with the FSRU HD compressor the technolgy replaces the tradiditonal compressor based recondenser as a simple and reliable solution with a high capacity span.
